So it is 24 hours since I fell asleep sitting bolt upright on a couch all night. We had just returned from a wedding.
A wedding that has been in the planning since September of 2007. My daughter Mehgan Hannam aka as shutterbug13 and Jason Arpin aka as curmudgeon75 were married At our church surrounded by family, friends, neighbors, church family, coworkers and friends.
The room was so full of joy that I (aka as a blubberer) never shed a tear all day. My only daughter has taken the biggest step of her life at a very tender age. I KNOW that it was the the right man and the right tome.
We retired to a log pavilion at the shoe of Lake Superior where we feasted, talked, laughed, danced and even just sipped our coffee by the fire.
It felt like a huge extension of our home. The candle light played of the glass wear and the fancy clothes and jewelry that everyone wore. Not a sign of a pair of blue jeans ( not that that would of mattered a bit) It was just so lovely to see a room of all of us with a sense of occasion.
The food was amazing. My eldest son chose 10 hours of music, music full of memories, sentiments and some real fun.
I thought it would feel like a real letdown today but I am still filled with joy and thanks that we were able to have such an occasion. We have been so very blessed.
Anyway now the dolls take over and I can concentrate on my one goal. I really felt as if I was wearing too many hats.
So we have had a dA wedding.
I just wanted to share my happiness and to announce to the world that a new family was formed on September 13.
Jason and Meghan Arpin !
Yours , Janet( aka as ma-en-law )
